Black Forest Real Estate

Black Forest, Colorado is an unincorporated area about 20 miles northeast of Colorado Springs. Black Forest is home to approximately 13,200 people according to the 2000 census. Located in El Paso County, Black Forest is close to Peyton, Calhan, Woodmoor, Monument, Gleneagle, Briargate and the United States Air Force Academy.

 

Calhan Real Estate

In El Paso County, Colorado, the town of Calhan can be discovered. Calhan occupies one square mile and is home to a little under 900 residents according to 2000 and 2008 censuses. Calhan is home to the Serenity Springs Wildlife Center, which shelters over 120 big cats such as lions, tigers, cougars, leopards, and others which can be toured. Calhan is also home to the El Paso County Speedway and the El Paso County Fairgrounds; Calhan hosts the annual El Paso County Fair. Bisected by U.S. Route 24, Calhan is east of Peyton, west of Ramah, and approximately 35 miles northeast of Colorado Springs.

 

Castle Rock Real Estate

A little east of the Front Range of the Rock Mountains, located on East Plum Creek, one can find Castle Rock. Castle Rock is a town in Douglas County, Colorado and is the county seat for Douglas County.  According to the 2008 estimates, a little over 44,300 people call Castle Rock home, which is more than double the 2000 census. Castle Rock is conveniently located along Interstate 25, providing easy access to the north towards Denver and to the south towards Colorado Springs. These metropolitans of Denver and Colorado Springs are approximately 32 and 43 miles away, respectively.

 

Cascade-Chipita Park Real Estate

Cascade-Chipita Park is a small area on the western edge of El Paso County, Colorado. Cascade-Chipita Park is not an incorporated area, and has a population of approximately 1,700 residents according to the 2000 census, and spans an area of 13.5 square miles. Located along U.S. 24, Cascade-Chipita Park has easy access points to the nearby areas of Green Mountain Falls, Woodland Park, Cascade, Manitou Springs, and Colorado Springs.

 

Colorado Springs Real Estate

Located at the base of Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs is found. Colorado Springs is the county seat of El Paso County and is the second largest city in the state of Colorado with over 414,300 people according to 2009 estimates. Colorado Springs occupies approximately 186 square miles. Colorado Springs has a large military influence due to its close proximity to Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base, NORAD and Cheyenne Mountain Air Station, and the United States Air Force Academy.  Colorado Springs is home to the United States Olympic Training center and headquarters of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Surrounded by a number of smaller areas such as Cimarron Hills, Black Forest, Fountain, Cripple Creek, and Woodland Park, Colorado Springs is only 70 miles south of Denver.

 

Cripple Creek Real Estate

The county seat of Teller County, Cripple Creek, Colorado is approximately 44 miles southwest of Colorado Springs. Cripple Creek has an elevation of nearly 9,500 feet above sea level and was conceived as a gold rush community in the late 19th century. Today, Cripple Creek is a National Historic Landmark. Visitors are able to tour ghost towns and gold mines and visit the Pikes Peak Heritage Center and Butte Opera House.

 

Denver Real Estate

Often known as the “Mile High City,” Denver, Colorado is the state capital and home to more than 610,000 people according to 2009 estimates. The greater Denver area is comprised of several areas with populations in excess of 100,000 in their own right, including: Arvada, Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, and Westminster. Today that mining town has turned into 79 official neighborhoods, more than 200 parks, 29 recreation centers, a number of performing art venues and its own Denver International Airport.

 

Divide Real Estate

Divide, Colorado is justly named for the water run-offs that divide to the north, south, east, and west, is a planned community in Teller County, Colorado. Divide is unincorporated and can be found along U.S. Highway 24 on the north slope of Pikes Peak. Divide is cordoned into three sections which include the town center, rural residential parcels, and larger rural land parcels. Divide plays host to ranching, farming, local businesses, and and tourism for Mueller State Park and Pike National Forest. Divide has a full-time population of approximately 4,000 people.

 

Ellicott Real Estate

Ellitcott, Colorado is small incorporated area found in El Paso County. Ellicott is about 20 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs and provides an escape from the big city-feel. Ellicott has traditionally been known for ranches, cattle, and farms but there has been some migration from Colorado Springs residents in recent years. Ellicott is serviced by the Calhan post office and Ellicott School District 22.

 

Falcon Real Estate

Falcon, an exurb of Colorado Springs is in El Paso County, Colorado. Falcon is locate on U.S. Highway 24, approximately 15 miles northeast of Colorado Springs. Falcon has evolved from a railway hub, to a ranching community, to its current state of quick residential growth. According to 2009 estimates Falcon has more than 10,500 residents. Students in Falcon are serviced by Falcon School District 49 which supports three high schools. Falcon is comprised of a number of neighborhoods including: The Meadows, Elkhorn Estates, Meridian Ranch, Woodmen Hills, Falcon Hills, Paint Brush Hills and Falcon Heights.

 

Fountain Real Estate

Fountain, Colorado is a city in El Paso County; Fountain is about ten miles south of Colorado Springs and is to the east of Fort Carson. Fountain has a population of a approximately 19,000 residents according to 2006 estimates. Two suburbs of Colorado Springs, in addition to Fountain, forge the “Fountain Valley” community. Fountain Valley is comprised of Fountain, Widefield, and Security.

 

Green Mountain Falls Real Estate

Green Mountain Falls is a town partly in El Paso and Teller Counties; Green Mountain Falls is in Ute Pass. It is a small area with less than 800 residents according to the 2000 census. Green Mountain Falls is located along U.S. Highway 24 and is near Woodland Park, Cascade-Chipita Park, Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, Pike National Forest, and the United States Air Force Academy.

 

Manitou Springs Real Estate

Manitou Springs is a city in El Paso County, Colorado. According to the 2000 census, Manitou Springs has approximately 5,000 residents. Manitou Springs’ name comes from two dozen mineral springs sprinkled throughout the area. Sometimes Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs are collectively referred to as “the Springs.” At the start of the 20th century, Manitou Springs became a haven for those suffering with tuberculosis; the mineral springs waters and mountain air were used to combat the effects of the disease.  Still today, there are public drinking spigots and the minerals create a unique flavor to the water.

 

Monument Real Estate

Monument, Colorado is a town in El Paso County. Monument has a population of approximately 2,000 residents according to the 2000 census. Monument gets it name from nearby Monument Creek which flows out of the adjacent town of Palmer Lake. Monument is about 25 minutes north of Colorado Springs and close to Gleneagle, Woodmoor, and Larkspur; Monument is about an hour south of Denver.

 

Peyton Real Estate

Peyton, Colorado is an incorporated town found along U.S. Highway 24 northeast of Colorado Springs. Peyton has its own post office, and students are served by Peyton School District 23JT and Falcon School District 49. According to the 2000 census Peyton has 71 residents. Peyton is close to Cimarron Hills, Calhan, Ramah, and Black Forest.

 

Pueblo Real Estate

Pueblo, Colorado is the county seat of Pueblo County. According to 2008 estimates, Pueblo has a population of approximately 105,000. Located where the Arkansas River and Fountain Creek meet, and where U.S. Highway 50 and Interstate 25 cross paths, Pueblo is an important city. Pueblo is known as the “Steel City” and is one of the largest-producers of steel in the country. Pueblo plays host to the largest annual event in Colorado, the Colorado State Fair. Additionally, Pueblo hosts the largest parade, the state fair parade. Pueblo is approximately 44 miles south of Colorado Springs.

 

Security-Widefield Real Estate

Security and Widefield, in conjunction with Fountain, create the Fountain Valley located in El Paso County between Colorado Springs and Pueblo, Colorado. Established in 1953 by home builders, Security was name given as it was meant to be comforting to prospective home buyers. Widefield followed in 1965 and was named to extoll the open space. According to the 2000 census, the Security-Widefield area has a population of approximately 30,000. Students are served by Widefield School District 3.

 

Woodland Park Real Estate

Woodland Park, located in Teller County, Colorado is known as “The City Above the Clouds” due to its elevation of almost 8,500 feet. Woodland Park is only 17 miles northwest of Colorado Springs and has many commuters. According to the 2000 census, Woodland Park has a population of approximately 6,500 residents that cover 5.7 square miles. Woodland Park offers fantastic views of Pikes Peak and easy access to outdoor recreation activities.
